I will be away March 7 (Best Boy) & 9 (Away From Her).
During this week you will be responsible for viewing two films, one documentary, BEST BOY-discussing the stigma of those who have developmental disability (what we call in stigma terminology "retarded") and one feature film AWAY FROM HER-discussing Alzheimer's and the stigma of dementia. I will be screening these films in class, but you may choose to watch them on your own.
After viewing the films, write a 1-page (minimum) reaction paper to each film. Your reaction paper should focus on the stigmatization and it's expression within each film.
Due Tuesday, March 21 :)
Will will be discussing these as we move into our next topical section of the course and you will need to comment on these films in your next essay! Happy Day.
